YouTube requires channels to be verified before you're able to go LIVE. We need to ensure that your account is setup for LIVE streaming first and that there is nothing preventing you from going LIVE.

Have you gone LIVE to this specific YouTube channel before? If not, start reading at solution 2.

Solution 1:

Your channel might not be approved for LIVE streaming yet.

This is a statement directly from Google Support

To verify your channel, you’ll be asked to enter a phone number. We’ll send a verification code by text or voice call to that phone number.

Once you've verified your account, you can:
Upload videos longer than 15 minutes
  Add custom thumbnails
  Live Stream
  Appeal Content ID claims

For more information on verifying your channel, please click here.

To resolve this and verify your account, visit YouTube.com/Verify and follow the instructions on the page.

Once complete, you will need to wait a minimum of 24 hours to completely verify your YouTube channel before streaming LIVE again.

After you have waited 24 hours and verified your account successfully, you should be able to login to YouTube again and it should work fine.

Solution 2:

Inside of LIVEpigeon, try disconnecting from YouTube and signing in again.

You need to choose a channel from your Google accounts.

After you select the Google account which is associated with your YouTube channel, you will be prompted to select either a channel or an account. Make sure you select your YouTube channel, not your account!

Important! If you do not see a channel to log in to or select, then please sign out of YouTube and try reconnecting again. You must select a YouTube channel for everything to work properly.

Solution 3:

If the solutions mentioned above are still not working for you then we recommend going LIVE with a stream key to YouTube.

This way you'll be creating the post yourself and ensuring that LIVEpigeon will stream correctly to it.

It's not the ideal way to go LIVE but it'll get the job done in a pinch.

If you have to use a stream key to go LIVE, please let us know so that we can help you fix the issue.
