There are multiple possible reasons why you may not be able to go LIVE to your desired YouTube Channel. Whether you are selecting the incorrect YouTube Channel, trying to go LIVE to an unverified Channel or maybe your account has been blocked by YouTube. We will go over each step on how to resolve these issues and hopefully help you get your content out!


Solution 1: Selecting a Different YouTube Channel

This may seem a bit obvious, but YouTube does make this process slightly confusing for users on their first time through. After selecting a Google account they will display a couple options for you to connect to. You won't be able to go LIVE if you connect to your gmail account instead of your Channel. Follow the steps below for more details.


Inside of LIVEpigeon, go to your Destinations Tab and add a Youtube channel. 


Next choose the Google Account your YouTube Channel is connected to or sign in.

Next you will be prompted to select either a Channel or Gmail Account.


You can tell which one is the Gmail account because it will display your email address underneath the name. If it says "YouTube" then that is a Channel


Note: If you do not see a channel you may need to create a channel using that email on YouTube's website. Click here to learn how to create a channel.

Solution 2: Verify Your Channel


YouTube requires channels to be verified before you're even able to go LIVE. We need to ensure that your account is setup for LIVE streaming first and that there is nothing preventing you from using LIVEpigeon. After you verify your channel, YouTube makes you wait 24 hours before you can start your first LIVE stream.

In order to verify your channel, you'll be asked to enter a phone number, then you will be sent an SMS verification code or voice call.


After verifying your Channel, you will need to go to your Live Studio inside of YouTube to prompt the LIVE stream verification timer.


Once complete, you will need to wait a minimum of 24 hours to completely verify your YouTube channel before LIVE streaming again. After waiting the 24 hours your account should be verified successfully!
