What is the LIVEpigeon Smart Embed?
Smart Embed is a LIVEpigeon feature that allows you to embed a code once onto your website, and each time you stream a video LIVE the video will automatically update on your website.
How do I add the Smart Embed onto my website?
Smart embed acts just like any other embed link, where you'll insert the embed code given into the part of the website that you'd like to have the video be in.
However, not all websites are created equal. Where you can, you'll want to insert the embed code as a "custom HTML" element onto your website. Sometimes pasting the embed code into a "video element" won't actually end up doing anything.
We have a breakdown for each website platform that you're using, and how to specifically add the smart embed to each of the following websites:
- Wordpress
- Squarespace

Smart Embed Configuration
When you are not LIVE on your channel, you can either:
- Show the last LIVE video on your channel (default)
- Show an image or thumbnail
- Show a specific video when you are not LIVE

How does Smart Embed work?
It's really quite simple! All you need to do is click "Smart Embed" at the top of any page in your LIVEpigeon account. This will take you to your list of Smart Embeds. Then you will copy the embed code you want when ready and paste that over in the designated spot within your website. Then whenever you go LIVE to the destination tied to your Smart Embed, it will show up on your website as well!
