Smart Embed Configuration
When you are not LIVE on your channel, you can either:
- Show the last LIVE video on your channel (default)
- Show an image or thumbnail
- Show a specific video when you are not LIVE
Navigating to your Smart Embed settings:
Once logged in to LIVEpigeon, select "Smart Embed" from the top of your account.
After you're on the Smart Embed page, look for your YouTube channel or Facebook page.
When you find which channel you want to modify your embed settings in, click the pencil icon to edit your settings.
Show an image or thumbnail when you're not LIVE:
When you are not LIVE on your channel, you can have LIVEpigeon display a thumbnail photo of your choosing by default.
If you do not have any option selected, LIVEpigeon will just display your latest LIVE video by default.
If you want to customize this, then toggle "Customize Embed Code" on.
By choosing a thumbnail and clicking save, your embedded player will show that photo when you are not LIVE on your page. Be sure to also select if you want the thumbnail to show before and/or after your streams. Click "Save" when your settings are set to your liking.
Play another video when you're not LIVE:
When you are not LIVE on your channel, you can have LIVEpigeon display a thumbnail photo of your choosing by default.
In order to play another video, we'll need to get an embed link from the other video that we want to share. For example, lets embed a specific YouTube video. On YouTube, navigate to the share button underneath the video.
Click on "embed" in the popup window.
And then copy the code that is given.
After this code is copied, we'll insert it into LIVEpigeon. Select if you want it to play before and/or after, then be sure to click "Save" at the bottom.
To embed videos that are on other social media websites, please check their resources on how to get an embed code link to their videos.
