Going LIVE to many multiples of Stream Keys can take a lot of work getting set up. We decided to make it easier for users! If you are on our Pro or Zoom plans, you can create what we call a LIVE Broadcast. This will be in the form of a .csv file that holds all the info for each of your Stream Key destinations. Let's look at how this would work!
1. Once logged into your LIVEpigeon account, navigate to your Destinations tab on the left side panel.
2. In your Destinations, select the "+ Add Destination" button.
3. Select the "RTMP Stream Key" option from the pop-up. This will bring up 2 different options. Go ahead and click on the "Mass Broadcast" option.
4. On this next pop-up, you can edit the name of your Mass Broadcast. Once you are ready, go ahead and download the .csv file.
5. With the .csv file downloaded, go ahead and open it. Fill in all the areas as labeled and created as many extra rows as needed. The most important areas are the Stream Key and Stream URL columns.
6. With all your destinations added, you will need to export the file as a .csv for it to be accepted. Select "File" from the top toolbar and go down to "Export To" and choose "CSV..." from the options. Then click the save button on the next pop-up.
Note: The method of exporting as a .csv file may be different on your device. This article is describing how a Mac user would export the file.
7. With your Mass Broadcast file saved, select "Upload a .csv File" in LIVEpigeon. Be sure to select your recently saved .csv file.
8. Once added, your destination will be saved. It will show you the total amount of broadcasts set up, so make sure it matches what you had planned. If it shows less than your expected total, it means 1 or more destination was not labeled properly and needs fixing. Edit your .csv if needed and continue from step 5.
9. Now that your Mass Broadcast is set up, let's set your stream up. Make sure you have your streams scheduled or set up on platform you are going LIVE to, such as Facebook. We recommend using a platform you can schedule Stream Keys to as you will have to press "Go LIVE" on each stream if not scheduled.
10. Go ahead and schedule your stream on LIVEpigeon's side now. With your scheduling set up, you are done! All that's left to do is wait for your streams to play!
